Micro skill Development center and Women self-help group centers in 4 available community centers in Tajganj Area of Agra under the smart city mission for the ABD area.
Project Background & Objectives: Micro skill centers are conceptualized for imparting training related to local artists such as in-lay, sculpting, flower art, and zardozi work to improve the livelihood of residents. With this objective; a sustainable livelihood initiative that promotes traditional skills like zardozi work and stone inlay, which have been proposed under this project.
The major objectives of the project include.
• To support micro skill initiatives to form a platform for the women group of the Tajganj Area.
• To provide skill development training to targeted SHGs.
• To establish micro skill centers in Tajganj.
• To promote traditional art.
• Product development for SHGs
• Value chain analysis of Produce/services.
• To establish linkage and other concern activities
• Ensure stakeholder participation.
• Creating awareness and implementing IEC activities.
Project location: Agra
Activities completed and methodology followed: It is observed there are some Women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs) identified during the baseline survey that can be linked with Micro-Skill Development Programme. These groups need to get good micro-skilltraining for their improved livelihood resources. To establish the linkages, micro skill centers are proposed for imparting training related to local art to improvise and increase the livelihood resources of residents.

Results/outcomes achieved:
• Potential of livelihood shall be analyzed by conducting several participative activities, which may includeworkshops, awareness campaigns, gender sensitization, capacity building programs, etc. This process shall include conducting community mobilization activities, preparation of livelihood resource Inventory/maps, livelihood promotion activities, entrepreneurship development activities, formation/ of SHGs & local Institutions, Involving existing SHGs, networking, and coordination and Inventory of local traditional art.
• Four community centers developed as micro skill development centers.
• Establish linkage with stakeholders to generate the market for the skilled product.
• Linkage with the government department facilitates the local artisans.
• 107 SHGs formed and develop with linkage to the bank.
• Develop IEC materials for skill development.
• Community mobilization for developing their art in a uniform way as per the market demand.
• 07 art form has been identified after the baseline survey

• Fusion design of products by Livelihood Promotion Training.
• 1070 SHG members including 70 male SHG members and 1000 women SHG members develop their skills of being an entrepreneur and can open an enterprise throughthe Entrepreneurship Development workshop.
• The livelihood of the SHG members increases which impactstheir lifestyle and thinking. These direct impacts the social lifestyle of families of SHG members.
• Develop market resources to channel the product to increase the demand and supply of them to the market through direct engagement of the SHG members.
